Product Overview ​

Drop-in is a payment technology integrated into merchant websites via an embedded frame. It primarily serves merchants who don't need to comply with the full PCI DSS standard (only SAQ-A certification is required), providing secure and low-threshold payment access capabilities.

This solution, based on a client-side JavaScript SDK integrated on the merchant's website, dynamically generates a secure, hosted payment session to process credit card input. Key features include:

  • Merchant-side initialization: The payment process is initiated by loading the SDK.js script.

  • PCI compliance: Sensitive card data is transmitted directly to Evonet using open security standards, ensuring that the merchant's servers never access the original card information.

  • Seamless transition experience: Users always stay on the merchant's domain (via a white-label iframe or page redirect), maintaining a consistent brand experience.

  • Real-time transaction status updates: Supports webhook notifications and real-time transaction status synchronization.

PCI DSS Certificates

To process the card information securely, the merchant must be PCI DSS certified. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of requirements intended to ensure that all companies that process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. It is managed by an independent body created by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and JCB, the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC).

Drop-in is a fully PCI DSS certified solution to process, store and transmit card information securely, helping merchants who do not obtain such a certificate quickly launch their business and the related requirements on card payment processing.
